Orange and Black Day & Crazy Hair Day

Crazy Hair Day was a great start to a fun filled week.  In language, we focused on an author study -  Julia Donaldson.  She is well known for her Gruffalo series.  Some of the stories our student's heard were The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo's Child, The Snail and the Whale, and Sharing a Shell.  In mathematics, the students continued to explore and investigate various shapes.  Students were given many opportunities to draw, cut, build, create and discuss attributes of 2-D shapes and 3-D figures.
